What are some fun things one can do if they run a node?

For example

  • I think it's cool that you can solo mine, even though it's just a waste of electricity.
  • You can create and broadcast raw transactions using the console.
  • You can get real-time blockchain statistics like getmemorypool, getinfo, getdifficulty
  • You can create your own multisig addresses with createmultisig.

Anything else that someone can play around with or do when they run a full node?
Let me know your ideas, I've got my full node up and running and wanted to play around with different commands or features.

You can look up every transaction in the blockchain if you have txindex enabled. You can also use that to run your own block explorer.

You could run your own Bitcoin-based service upon your node like blockchain based texting or information storage.
