I have replied to problems with my withdrawals at Cryptsy in the following thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1217578.0

The reason I'm starting a new thread is because the title didn't include withdrawal problems.

I originally put in a withdrawal request on October 22, 2015. The request showed in withdrawals but didn't have a transaction code. So after waiting a few hours I emailed Cryptsy technical support.

***They said they were having problems with the new tier system for withdrawals.***

Everyone should be aware of this when withdrawing from this exchange.

After a few days they stopped answering my emails. Just today I get an email stating that my withdrawal was stuck so they cancelled it and asked me to make another withdrawal. So they waited almost a week to do something they could have done right away??

***Customer support at Cryptsy is abysmal for this very reason.***

So today I went in to withdraw and the same thing happened. I had some Cryptsy points available so I converted them into BTC. I made 2 separate withdrawals from that amount. The first one for 0.01 BTC went through! The second one for a slightly larger amount is still in withdrawals with no transaction ID.

I've asked Cryptsy support to cancel my 2 withdrawals and to manually send me the same amount to the address I attempted to send to. If they could not do that I asked for a check or money order for the amount of BTC owed me.

Who would want to go through with this? Look at the other thread to see how incompetent Cryptsy is by messing up other withdrawals. I would be careful depositing there until they get their new tier system worked out or perhaps you should think twice about ever depositing there again.

Update:

The third transaction (one of the two that had no transaction ID) finally went through. My original withdrawal is still stuck.

The worst thing about this is that back on the 22nd my investments went into ETH which was at 0.0018. Now it's almost twice that much. So the 3 BTC that I couldn't withdraw that I was going to invest into ETH at 0.0018 would be worth 6 BTC now. I'm out 3 BTC = $900 because of Cryptsy's incompetence.

Uptdate:

The final BTC withdrawal has FINALLY gone through almost a week after initiating the withdrawal. I checked my other trades that I had purchased of ETH at the same time I was going to use these funds and he price of ETH during that time has gone from 0.00209966 to now at 0.00357. The amount that was finally transferred was around 3 BTC.

I guess that you are joking, but just in case you're not, you would be crazy to deposit anything to Cryptsy at this moment. They are literally falling apart and may cease to exist any day soon!

You are correct, sir!  Cheesy

Working the Deposit / Withdrawal lag time against the market is an angle Cryptsy has likely been using all along. The disparity in the two is now increasing, perhaps meaning that some of the other angles they are working are falling short and they are trying to make up income..
