Its just a spare account, sometimes people prefer not having to play a new account through casual games.  Maybe different rank is useful and so on.

Because you get the free rank ready to play, buy the plain game if you prefer of course.   Takes about a week to get to competitive mode, then another week to find your rank after 10 games and a few just want to start right away
