What do you mean? Do you mean many different computers that are mining at the same time? If so, yes, that is how the Bitcoin network works. Do you mean making dedicated mining hardware? If so, yes, there are things called Application Specific Integrated Chips (ASICs) and those are dedicated miners. It is through ASICs that the majority of mining is done. If you don't have an ASIC, then you won't make anything.

no you need asic, specific miners to mine bitcoin, if you want to mine altcoin you need a good miner software("Wolfo" for amd and "spv" for nvidia) and try to instamine some altcoin with your gpu

otherwise there are always asic for scrypt, if you want to go with cpu only i think there are no more good option anymore, so it's a waste of money

Your ideas is not enough to mining bitcoin. You need capable hardware to mining bitcoin.

At least it was comparable with ASIC. If not it just only wasting your electricity and your money.

Sadly you will not be able to mine Bitcoin even with many computers. Today's difficulty requires dedicated hardware which you will probably have to buy and it also costs electricity.

No, you still really won't make anything with 100k computers (although you need to specify the specs of them to get a better answer, how fast can they mine, etc...).  Plus the electricity costs to run that will be astronomical, not to mention dissipating the heat from that many computers would be next to impossible.

I would be a waste of time mining with regular CPU's, and GPU's.   Asics have taken over at this point.

You almost sounding like a botnet.... if that's what your talking about I hope you don't get much help.  I hope I'm reading to much into it though.

100k cpu are like what 5M h/s or 5Mh/s, useless, but it can be good to instamine some rubbish cpu only altcoin, still too much consumption, it would be overkill, a fraction of that would suffice in this case

The only thing those 100 computers would do it eat 100 times as much electric and cost you 100 times as much LOSS.

Bitcoin has not been mineable for even break-even by ANYTHING other than ASIC for several years now - and even older ASIC units are money-LOSERS now unless your electric is FREE.

You might also want to learn how to type, or how to type in English, your broken wording hurts my brain....

If I had to wager a guess, I would say that OP is referring to using a botnet for CPU mining, which isn't a good idea by any stretch.

I mentioned this above it seems to be what he was hinting at.  But OP has not been here for a while so the thread really should be left dead.

I think it was mostly talk I dont think someone would have "100k" machines..... and not know about cpu mining.

Must have missed your reply, I agree though.  Thankfully it wouldn't be fruitful, because it's a pretty shitty thing to do.

Not a problem at all.  At one time when CPU mining was profitable I could see someone using a botnet.  But at this point I think everyone would notice a PC running slow from mining.

So between people noticing slow CPU and possibly removing botnet software due to it.  Amount that each CPU will bring in tiny amounts I dont think to many botnets will be doing it at this point.  I think they are being used for other purposes.  And your right it is a shitty thing to do, the good news is eventually a lot of the botnet creators/users get caught.
