Things seem to be moving along well in Bangalore, however India is huge and we need more initiatives across the country to make Bitcoin happen faster.

I think India is one of the countries with the largest use of cash.  Perhaps they've been waiting for bitcoin all this time Smiley

Coinbase for selling BTCs
Fold for spending BTCs
PM me with any questions on these sites/apps!  http://www.montybitcoin.com

or Vircurex for trading alt cryptocurrencies like DOGEs
CoinNinja for exploring the blockchain.

I had someone ask me specifically about using Bitcoins to send payments in India recently. It was in regards to paying workers directly so they aren't exploited by their supervisors/bosses. One of the biggest challenges I could see was the lack of an exchange in India but perhaps if they used it as a primary currency amongst some people it wouldn't be necessary.

Needless to say, I will be keeping a very close eye on this.
