Anyone recommend something I can run at my desktop at work?  I remember this a few years ago:

http://products.butterflylabs.com/homepage-new-products/10-gh-s-bitcoin-miner.html

But, anything more up to date that I can just have it run 24/7 at my office/desk and just get into mining btc?

Thanks all!!

Maybe the U3 miner from bitmain? But you have to buy it from a reseller, because bitmain ships those units only in bulk.

The fan ontop of U3 may be somewhat noisy if your workplace/office is quiet like a library. You can mod it to run a quieter fan with ease though.

The portable ones that hook up to computer are current are U3 and sidehacks compacs.  The compac is easier to use as it does not zombie out like U3's.  But U3's are cheaper but can be a pain.

The thing is this class of miners you really don't get your money back.  It's a "lotto" miner for most meaning you mine solo hoping to hit a block one day (likely it will not happen).  But you really have to look into bigger miners as far as getting a ROI.  Others are more for fun.
