Hello!

My name's Alfred, and I do software development more or less just as a hobby. Myself and a partner, Tobias, operate a small studio called Tobias Technologies, and we became interested in BitCoin, and specifically possible software solutions to the difficulties of mining (high cost barrier to entry, high electricity usage, cooling problems, etc) about 6-ish months or so ago.

The package that we have come up after studying the way the really clever BitCoin algorithm works is still very much under development, but we like the direction it's headed in so far: we have a server cloud that is dedicated to mining new coins much faster than a lone machine (we see about a 30-40% improvement in efficiency regarding time spent, and we're pretty sure we can do better) mining 'from scratch' that works by receiving the code from an already existing BitCoin and doing what we're tentatively calling an 'algorithm dictionary search' to find a valid BitCoin integer in a relatively short span of time, with end user not needing any special hardware or typical mining headaches: just 1 BTC of existing currency to plug into the cloud to start the dictionary search.

The client will certainly be open source (coded in Python), and we plan to run the cloud more or less for free - we'd like to have what amounts to a micro-transaction model, so the end user doesn't have to worry about up front risk. We're still trying to discuss how this could be monetized, but we're pretty excited about it, because we know it's a pretty open space as far as vendors go.

The community is really one of the best parts about BitCoin, though, and it's how Tobias & myself were introduced to the concept, so we want some feedback at this junction:

 - Have you personally used microtransactions before (also sometimes referred to as 'freemium' service)?
 - Do you think Python is an appropriately accessible code base to use, or do you personally prefer something else?
 - Would you personally pay for a quick currency conversion service? If so, how much would you feel is a fair price per conversion?
 - Would you personally pay for a quick BitCoin transfer service? If so, how much would you feel is a fair price per transfer?
 - Are you already quite happy just using your current mining rig?
 - If you don't currently mine, would this cloud service get you interested in mining?

Thanks for your time! I hope this isn't considered inappropriate for an introduction message; I just wanted to have something substantive to post before joining the community.

and what sort of hardware do you have in this cloud ?

is this a vanity address generator or just a way to collect 1BTC from unsuspecting mugs

colour me paranoid as ozzy would say ...

In the Beginning there was CPU , then GPU , then FPGA then ASIC, what next I hear to ask ....

FYPFY.

Nothing in the OP even is remotely close to making any sense.

Just a bunch of nonesense.

"valid BitCoin integer" - there is no such thing.
'algorithm dictionary search'  - if it was possible to compute SHA256 hashes faster than brute force that would be the largest cryptographic news of the decade.  The OP could create a white paper and be published in just about any academic journal on the topic.
'server cloud that is dedicated to mining new coins much faster than a lone machine' - meaningless.  I have two rigs which are ..... <DRUMROLL> 200% faster than a single rig.  Actually I have a rack of 6 rigs which are 600% faster than a single rig.  Have I discovered some unknown Bitcoin algorithm?

The algorithm the OP discovered is called stealing a few BTC.

We're running 4 rigs with 8 7850 cards for our FLoPs, and we'll scale that up as we get the software where we want it to be.

We won't be asking anyone for BitCoins; it'll be a free to use service.

Um, yes, there is such thing as a valid BitCoin integer. That's how BitCoin mining works: you crunch an integer, the system checks it for validity, and either it's thrown away (invalid integer) and you start the process again or it's kept (valid integer) and you get some of the currency.

The dictionary search is based on a proprietary engine, so I'm afraid I can't share the details of that, sorry.

I'll be honest, this is a pretty rude reaction.

I must be a pretty bad scammer if I'm not asking for any money.

Um.. there is exactly 0 FLOPS done on bitcoin network, and what you are saying doesn't make any sense, but your post is well written. You should work as a spokesman for some politician.

and yes newbies is rude -
sort of a bit of the nature of the beast ...

but keep going - if you show examples then all the better
