So I was lured by the high exchange rates; well I sold my BTC on Cryptox for a higher rate than at gox... little did i know, there's no way to move my funds out of there in any other form besides BTC... So, I went to log in today, with intent to buy BTC at a loss, so that I could move my funds, and the fuckers have disabled my userid!!!  I did not change my password; same password as far as I know -- and I only have like $220 USD in there...  Well now I can't even contact their poor excuse for "customer support" -- I don't know if my IP is blocked or what, but when I try to access cryptox website from my laptop, it will not load now... wtf is this shit???  I just wanted the best price, now all my money is gone... Thank you CrookToX, I will be sleeping in public restrooms for the next couple months because you stole my rent... fuck this crooked fucking shit!

May I suggest sending an email to support@cryptoxchange.zendesk.com? That's the support email. More than likely, it's just a technical error.

I'm really sorry to hear about your situation but you need to take responsibility for your actions.  CryptoxChange did not come to your house and deposit your rent money for you.  You chose to do that.  It's an unfortunate situation but as with any investment or speculation you should only be putting at risk money that you can afford to lose.

Bitcoinlandia is riddled with unfortunate stories of honest, hardworking individuals who invested money that they could not afford to lose with shady, disreputable, fraudulent or just plain poorly run businesses.

Unfortunately this is a hard way to learn that lesson.  In your favor it sounds like you have an opportunity to get your money back with is more then the pirate/bitcoinica victims can say.

Good luck.

So you're putting him to blame for depositing money, into a network that's proven successful, and now that its been seized its his fault? You my friend have some thinking flaws.

farlack,

That is your opinion and I it is certainly welcome.

My point it individuals should not be speculating in bitcoin with  rent money.  And if you do don't come here crying about having to sleep on the floor of public rest room.  The guy is pissed off and rightly so, but he need to take responsibility.

i agree that it was something supposedly unforeseen, but I agree with BCB, any money you put into bitcoinland should be money you are okay waving bye to in the off chance you get bent over the table

I would disagree. There are some merchants/exchanges, whom you can trust, sending money to exchange is not equal sending them to casino.

It's not a wise decision to trade your rent money though.

I see your point Armando, however, I would also say that the merchants/exchanges seem trustworthy until it craps out for whatever reason, then you're left hoping to get your money back.

I'm a pessimist though, I'm sure that certain exchanges are not out to take all your money but bad things do happen unexpectedly.

And yes, don't use your rent money!

I was drunk when that happened; entered my password incorrectly three times, and then my account was locked out.  Everything has been since rectified -- thank you CryptoX customer service for assisting in this.

Apologies for the hyperbole.  But still:  With regard to CryptoX, they need more options for getting your fiat out, and perhaps more visible warnings about such things ("mtgox coupons not working til further notice" in regular print in a not-so-visible news banner is not conducive to being understood quickly by drunkards).

Again, apologies to everyone its due to, but also be careful with CryptoX.

For anyone concerned, I still am allowed to sleep in this place that includes a roof.
