oh i didn't know he was featured at bitcoin london. i think hes just trying to gain viral views by being absurd and i agree it is affecting his professionalism. i think he sometimes speaks too much in doomsday terms and not about moderate progress... i mean whatever moderate progress would lead to.

Very direct at times. I saw a vid of him ranting about Germany not having gold anymore.

he does have sensible moments but his sheepish absurd moments outweigh the actual facts which makes his 'news' not credible to become viral in actual news media.

thus his messages get stuck in RT footage and youtube videos. other national news media would not use him as a credible expert to feature on their shows much.

such a shame though, as the absurd moments make teenagers appreciate him and remember him enough to consider bitcoin. but the adults and professionals lose faith in any 'big news' and thus, they end up not listening to what he has to say. treating it as "tinfoil hat" doomsday stuff.

Considering that he used to be a comedian, I'd say he's acting very professional Wink

Kidding aside, he seems to have a very good understanding of the world of finance as well as Bitcoin and he once stated that his humorous approach is just a way to deal with all the things amiss in our current financial system. I don't see this hurting his credibility, even though I have to turn my speakers down a bit when I listen to him Wink

i agree it is affecting his professionalism.

I disagree, "professionalism" is just a perspective you gained where ? and does what ? From my point of view you just said "He is different so don't take him serious and ignore him ...". Isn't that what people usually mean when they use that word ?

But yha love his shows, latest show "don't buy in to a Asset (bonds) that is at a all time high".

professionalism, in terms of reporting print and tv media, is a perspective i've gained from reading all the "popular" sources which are considered the "professionals" by most likely a majority of people. what i really meant was, i didn't know he use to be a comedian, and the remarks like the sheep noises make him seem more amerature-ish than say cnbc, cnn, fox, or headline here in the states. o'reilly can't be too far off tho  Cheesy

and hes different so all the more reason one should take him serious and respect his thoughts.

i agree his show is great. i watch it all the time

I guess you missed all the shows where he talks about Bitcoin, hence penning this thread.

He only usually goes crazy when Stacy is playing the straight-(wo)man.  He dials it back on the second half of the show when he's doing the interview.  But yes, it's a bit of an acquired taste.

And what I was trying to point out is that if you would have search this forum using his name, you would have been presented with pages of posts discussion Max Keiser, in which case this thread would not have been necessary. Don't get me wrong, it's okay to start a thread on some subject and later find out it's kinda been discussed, but this about Max was not warranted. Besides, he's even a member on this forum, just like Jon Matonis of Forbe is, hence my first post on this thread.

Peace, bro.

Max is a professional entertainer.  He is not a professional Serious Financial Journalist Guy.

He's great on bitcoins and anti-banksterism in general, but never forget his criticism is coming from the hard left; he's no libertarian.

Max believes in ManBearPig and several other liberal hobgoblins that tarnish his otherwise sterling credibility.

Nevertheless I like it when he gets all worked up ala Alex Jones and starts ranting.  Stacy finds it amusing and that's all that matters!

Max is a professional entertainer.  He is not a professional Serious Financial Journalist Guy.

Seems to me that if anything he is a professional financial specialist and inventor.  Former at least, and I infer (possibly incorrectly) that he was good enough at it to make some money and switch gears to doing something he seems to enjoy and which, imho, adds value to humanity.

It's amusing to see news clips dredged up from his stock broker days...he's changed very little in terms of style.

He's great on bitcoins and anti-banksterism in general, but never forget his criticism is coming from the hard left; he's no libertarian.

Max believes in ManBearPig and several other liberal hobgoblins that tarnish his otherwise sterling credibility.

That Keiser is no libertarian is what gives him credibility to me.  He and Stacy rarely waste my time with Austrian School hokum and bunkum.
