Apple Pay might not be a success if it just has fiat. It will be a success if it integrates digital coins as well.

Apple Pay rely on merchants to update their terminals to enable this payment option and it's still not a sure thing, because there are so many other competing technologies.

The central point is still the banks, and this is where Bitcoin has the advantage. You do not need the banks to do transactions with Bitcoin, if you do not convert to fiat.

I would much rather use Bitcoin and have full control over my own finances than using Apple Pay and rely on a centralized technology.
