Hello, everyone. For those of you who don't know what igo is, see below. I've been playing go since last October and I'm current a 6kyu on the server KGS. This is a very intermediate level. For those of you who are familiar with the game and want to learn how to play or want help progressing past the beginning stages, I'm offering tutoring services.

For introductions to the game via explanation of the rules and playing 9x9 or 13x13 games, I will charge by the hour. For full-length learning games on a 19x19 board, I'll charge by the game. Rates are 0.15BTC.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_(game)

"Go ("weiqi" in Chinese, "baduk" in Korean), is an ancient board game for two players that originated in China more than 2,000 years ago. The game is noted for being rich in strategy despite its relatively simple rules (see Rules of Go).
The game is played by two players who alternately place black and white stones on the vacant intersections (called "points") of a grid of 19×19 lines (beginners often play on smaller 9x9 and 13x13 boards). Stones act as markers, representing one's occupation of a particular point. The object of the game is to use one's stones to surround a larger portion of the board than the opponent. Once placed on the board, stones cannot be moved. If they are surrounded by the opponent's stones, they are captured and removed from the board. When a game concludes, the controlled points (territory) are counted along with captured stones (or one's own stones, as in the Chinese rule-set) along with a predetermined compensation (called "komi," with white usually getting 6.5 points komi) to determine who has more points. Games may also be won by resignation — one may resign if one has fallen too far behind in total points."

There's also a very popular anime/manga titled "Hikaru no Go" that is based around the board game. You can watch the entire series for free on Hulu and it can also be watched on Netflix instant watch. It's a great series that I highly recommend.

Since I have competition now, I'm dropping rates to 0.15BTC. If you're stronger than 12kyu KGS, I'd recommend him instead of me. My services are for beginners.
