well it can bring it back but i doubt that anyone would still be interested in playing it and spending their money on it, it would be a nice idea but i think that no one will waste their time on it

I disagree. There is a ton of older gamers out there still that i think would eat this up even if it is bitcoin only. I dont think it is to far fetched to think that these old nerds and gamer geeks would/could adopt bitcoin. I could see this working.

i like your idea those games are my favourite games when i was a child and also very popular but the biggest problem from your idea is not so many shopping centre accept bitcoin as payment method and i think it's why very difficult to see arcades will adopt bitcoin

If Bitcoin goes mainstream it would make sense to introduce arcade games accepting bitcoin payment. Imagine going to a bar with friends and want to enjoy yourselves on the arcade games and have no change. Just pull out your phone bitcoin wallet and pay effortlessly.

I think the VR environment would be far too costly to implement effectively and be just an fancy Lazertag. Arcade machines running a custom version of MAME would be the way to go. That way you could have multiple games per cabinet.

Also as well as bitcoin and cash, you could use contactless payment systems, maybe ApplePay too to maximise the ways of getting money from the users.

Not sure if this would be the best idea. Arcade games may be cool for the people that used to play with them in the past, but for the new generation they look dull.

The idea however, of using bitcoin for "arcade type games" is a good one though. No need for coins, just go to the game you want to play and swipe your phone and play!

Maybe there could even be an on blockchain ticket sytem, where instead of getting physical tickets for prizes, there are points awarded on the chain, which you can "sell" to get your prizes!

Well I think if kids are with their parents on the mall and they see the machines they are curious and want to play the games, in some malls there are still some arcade machines and I still see kids wanting to play when they see them, specially the machines that have not only joystick and buttons but have a driving wheel, or the moto racing ones.
Also a lot of adults like to play specially the moto ones which are really cool.

If Bitcoin can allow for cheaper prices I think it's a great business in the future.

I think the real reason why there aren't any is because it would be very easy to cheat. There are many ways to cheat on Pacman and all those other arcade games.
