Selling mining hardware tips?

Does anyone have any tips for selling mining hardware online?

Are there some sites that are more successful than others?

I'm struggling to find buyers of 3,4th/s of hardware all way below the average price of other listings on eBay.

Yeah.. Don't sell on ebay or amazon. People WILL scam you.

I just had an ahole last month buy my last S7-B6, recieve is, show it working, then next day start a claim to return for full refund.
THe dckhead fried one of the boards as he tried ot run the miner at 700MH vs 600-620max and improperly hooking it up.
Paypal effed me by giving him his money AND shipping costs back. Now I'm stuck with a 66% hashing S7.  

BTW the bastard guy's name is/was : BRIAN SURGUY in Annapolis, MD..

On here, I've had mostly good dealings (other than people trying to lowball you or disappear after making a deal)ALWAYS USE A FORUM ESCROW.

I have a lot of experience selling miners on eBay.  It comes down to this:

If in US; don't ship outside the continental US.

Don't sell to anyone with bad or low feedback.

Anticipate every possible failure a new miner might have and explain it in your description.

Take actual pictures of each miner including serial numbers, and miner gui screenshots.

List each miner as rated at what GH it typically mines at; not the retail rating.

Clearly state you do not accept returns.

Clearly state your shipping and handling time; and always ship within your handling time.

Include lan cable and jumper switch if possible.

Clearly state what type of PSU is needed, and make recommendations.

MOST OF ALL; know that the best time to sell is also the most likely time you will get screwed.  Choose a price that gives you a small profit or is an even trade; and reasonable miners will buy from you.  Choose a high price and you will only attract scammers and delusional noobs.  If you want to sell miners as a business; make your own website and don't accept PayPal.

Barring the S5+, the S7 is probably the worst miner to sell on eBay; due to its 10x pcie, specific power on sequence (with multiple psu's), need to be set to a manual fan speed, voltage sensitivity, lack of a front fan grill, propensity of individual heatsinks to fall off in shipment, and most importantly high individual unit value.

Agreed.  EBay buyers usually will pay more but shipping can kill you. . be careful.  C.L. is good, no shipping, but harder to sell for what asking price is.  The forum knows the going price and will always try to make a deal in their favor.  It just depends on what are you willing to sell them for to find where to sell.

That sound like a ahole i bought a S3 board form on Ebay only thing is he sent me a bad board etc i let it go it wasn't much cash it was the point he was just a dick head and my whole point is no mater how you do it or buy it you might get screwed over or get a lot of BS .

so to OP take his advice to heart and be care full even here .

What type of equipment do you have for sale and what is the price, simply saying I have this many th isn't good enough we want to know what exactly you have.

I have also sold a lot of hardware and I agree with most of what was stated above selling on forums if your best bet you might get a little less but if you spend time to document everything and use an escrow service you will have many happy trades. Be carful of newbies on the forums trying to doop you thinking your using escrow and its not ALWAYS PICK AN ESCROW IN ADVANCE and confirm you are sending to the correct forum member and always verify the escrow has received the funds prior to shipping. Also always pack your miners extra well and insure the package I have had multiple shipping carriers destory miners and try to deny warranty claims saying it was not sufficiently packaged
