What have you done to contribute to Bitcoin success ...
Truth, right there. In 2013 vast numbers of users were involved in projects to push forward the bitcoin economy. Now we have vast numbers of freeloaders who think they will get rich from ass sitting. The price has adjusted accordingly. Sorry, but bitcoin offers no free lunch.

Not everybody can be involved in a project. There are people who have normal jobs and work the whole day but they are also interested in Bitcoin. Not everybody here in this space is a tech geek, coder or web developer. I'm one of them.
But what I do is talk about Bitcoin and show to people how it works and what it's benefits are. But this isn't something I could go full time or pay my bills with.

you just better hope some sociopath care home worker doesn't bully your private keys out of you. or any of the other myriad  scams and rip-offs that befall the weak and elderly in our sick society, btc or not... its best to try and nurture caring relationships, have children. there was a time when people actually took care of their elderly loved ones.

A friend of mine said you couldn't have children to take care of you in your old age, because that is selfish. A child is not an investment. A child is not life support. A child is not an ATM. A child is not a slave to your wishes.

A child is a person.

The op wants to be rich like most people and is expressing himself.   I dig it.

Still, hoping and begging is not that effective.  Best to find alternative ways
To be rich in case the bitcoin route doesn't pan out.

listen up i want this thing to be mainstream before i get somekind of dementia or cancer or parkinsons can you hurry up and make this thing go global before i become a wrinkley old man that will have to depend on the state for care and you all know how "care" is provided on the taxpayer dime... coverups, excuses, selfish staff, all for 1 and 1 for all, dehydration, malutrition, doctor shipmans, sociopaths, diseased hosptials, chav patients, druggies n thugs etc

Just stop for a second think about this... you're in a taxpayer hospital completely dehydrated you can't speak but there is a glass of water next to you you can't move you can't speak the only way to survive is to depend on someone else to feed u that drink the helplessness the agony you won't know what it feels like until it happens to you... NO ONE IS INVINICBLE eventually our days will be numbered the time for preparation is now.

when i become a wrinkley old man the bitcoin i hath accumlated will be more than enough to pay for private care the vermin public are the reason i have to wait 2 years for an operation but privately can be done in a week or so listen up....

get all the bitcoin you can bitcoin will save your life in the future armen

We need to think beyond that level, the fact is you are going to die in a bad way whatever happens most likely.  If we divide society resources mainly by whos rich and whos not we'll always have problems.

I agree a child is a person. A child is  an investment. A child is life support. When the child is young, I help him/her to bring him/her up. When I am old, I expect help from him. If not, there is no point of having child. A child is not just a product of sexual pleasure.
We are equal. A child is not a slave to my wishes.

@TheGr33k
Ya your "friend" is your Girlfriend here that is banned that you are posting for on her behalf.
You know the person that replied to this topic first.. "codishmumu"
You know the one you were trying to sell sweaters for a few days ago in Off Topic ?
I know that because codishmumu created a topic saying that word for word (what you just said basically)
Seems odd you are repeating her posts..

@OP
As much as i feel ya and get your sentiment i am sad to say your wasting your time.
What is the problem ?
Bitcoin was designed to be a commodity not a currency so it will always stifle it's own adoption.
A good example of what i am saying is illustrated rather clearly at www.washingtonpost.com
I found the following link when searching Google with the keywords "bitcoin is a ponzi scheme"
It was the first search result.
Bitcoin isn’t the future of money — it’s either a Ponzi scheme or a pyramid scheme

Quote
The catch-22 is people buy Bitcoins because they think the price will go to infinity and beyond once everybody uses them, but they don't spend their own Bitcoins because they think the price will go to infinity and beyond once everybody else uses them. And so nobody uses them. But if nobody uses them, then the price will stay stuck at something a lot less than infinity let alone beyond.

Honestly I agree with OP and if you get past his initial angry and bad grammar I think anyone should do. Bitcoin can save us all from the incoming total failure of the state and social healthcare, therefore, only the wealthy will be able to get good services. It sucks but unless things change we are heading towards such scenario. Bitcoin can make us all millionaires in 10 years if this is a success, but please no more than 10 years.

People will care about you as long as you don't make it seem as if you don't care about other people, and happen to be a useful member to society.

But doesn't it depend on the project? I have frequently done the things on this list and it has worked. I have convinced several local places and I now shop with them.
1. Ask a locally owned outlet to use bitcoin and help them set it up. All you have to do is show them a service like BitPay.
2. Write an email to a website and tell them you will be a customer if they take bitcoin.
3. Create a fun contest with a $20 bitcoin prize.
4. Volunteer to give a presentation about bitcoin.
5. Have some bitcoin stickers or cards printed up and distribute them.
6. Set up a friends phone with a wallet and give them a bucks worth to play and learn.

You make it all sound so easy. Maybe you should go to Satoshi and tell him all your ideas to make Bitcoin mainstream.

Note:  this thread bumped by Yobit campaigner, and I have to agree that the quality of new topics leaves a lot to be desired.

So many trolls trolled this thread, codishmumu, Gr33k, etc.  Wow, don't see them anymore.  And no one cares about you, so appropriate to bitcointalk.

It will take a long time before we can find possible things that can benefit us so i think that this question needs a little more thinking and doesn't solve any of our problems
