You could use on chain exchange platforms like shapeshift.io, OpenLedger, NXT AE etc, which eliminate the chance of exchanges getting hacked or inside jobs.

Would you trust a software or a human ? Try out the few reputed forum's escrows.Use one of them.Don't go for such third party websites, they charge more service fees.

do you mean something like exchanging currency "P2P" ?
have you tried currency exchange section of the forum here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0

also as long as there is no reputation and no trust, you will need a middle man like escrow no matter how you do it.

There is always http://www.localbitcoins.com which is a fairly reliable platform, however you will stick have to watch out for clever scammers who abuse their system. Prices are a bit higher than other exchanges, they do offer a few other features though.

There is no middle man for using Bitcoin. If all your income and expenses were be in Bitcoin, the transfers would have negligible overhead. But it not safe.
If you don't like middleman, you can trade at trust exchange site as btc-e, poloniex,...

maybe you should explain more about what exactly you want to do, and what you have in mind.

if you want to do a business and accept bitcoin as payment (trade bitcoin with goods) you have to use a middle man (an escrow) unless you have enough trust built up and the buyer feels safe doing this. since bitcoin doesn't have charge-back there is no other way.

you can use some platforms like localbitcoins for this but the same story about trust is true there too.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

Those are browser base. I'd also like to see some trading software for these cryptocurrencies just like how they trade in FOREX to which they use metatrader software. Metatrader shows graphs and though crypto may not have indicators, i still think its possible. i wish secondstrade will develop their own though.

I would strongly recommend to use decentralized exchanges in order to be safe. I personally use Nxt Asset Exchange and OpenLedger exchange. You got more security but on the other hand the exchangeable coins are limited.

The majority of the people here don't even know what the difference is between normal exchanges and decentral exchanges.

OP; you're best option will be localbitcoins or perhaps that you can find some one here in this forum where you can trade face 2 face in a crowded area.

Probably, but he could google it and learn about when he is interested in safe trading methods.

He was asking for software to avoid middleman, not face to face trading. Face 2 face trades even in crowed areas could be very dangerous.
