I hope someone here can help me.

I had my bitcoin since months back in my multibit classic wallet. Decided to send them to my account at bitstamp. Sent 0.1 as a test and it came through. Sent the rest and got a triangle icon in multibit with the text "this transaction is not yet confirmed". Checked fees and it was set to default. Tried restarting the client but nothing happened for 30 minutes. When looking the transaction up in blockchain.info it says not found.
Googled and found this page on multibit: https://multibit.org/en/help/v0.5/help_support_sentBitcoinFromMultibitButTheyAreStuck.html

Did as it says at the bottom and resynced the blockchain. Transaction is now gone from my transaction list and my bitcoin are gone as well.
When I search my wallet in blockchain.info it lists my wallet as the last transaction never happened, all my bitcoins are still supposed to be there.
So how can I make them appear again ? or at least get access to them somehow?
