As a newbie and with your payment option of paypal, I doubt someone in here will trust you to deal with. Paypal has a chargeback option and escrow won't help to prevent this. Incase you got no deal, your best optuon is to go to localbitcoins or virwox to buy bitcoin.

Why don`t you make and verify a Coinbase account and buy directly with credit/debit card?
Virwox will do the work ,but their fees are high.
