Miners clearly have a huge amount of control over the future direction of bitcoin development - it is their support for the various node versions out there now which largely determines their success.

But as we all know mining has become divorced from actual use - miners and ordinary users are now largely two separate groups. The vast majority of users therefore have little or no say in the direction Bitcoin takes.

This is a huge opportunity for cloud mining to fulfill an actual useful purpose.

There are loads of cloud mining services out there, but most are either unprofitable or outright scams. Strangely, none of them actually devolves the power that miners have into the hands of the people that use Bitcoin.

I decided to create this thread as a call for somebody to set up a cloud mining service which isn't just a fake way for people to make a profit, but instead provides a way for people to buy a stake in the decision making process for future Bitcoin development (or to find out about any services which do this that I might have missed).

I have never been involved in mining, but I would buy into a cloud mining service like this, even if it was openly unprofitable and even if it was just for a small amount. If there is anybody here who is able to do such a thing, I would also be willing to help with promotion.

Please let me know what you think about whether something like this would be possible. Thanks.
