Is there a simple way to determine what version a particular folder of secp256k1 is?

Right now I don't think that it is being versioned. If the folder was cloned from github, then you can use git log to check the latest commit and use that as versioning.

i came across this, it lists 20 different versions of secp256k1,
but am wondering how dependent on different versions various releases are
