I think they're making it more difficult to purchase accounts. That's why if I was to sell an account (not so say that I have) but if I ever do, I wouldn't change the passwords or anything. I'd also make sure to sign in via VPN of sorts. I'm sorry that happened to you. Perhaps attempt getting in contact with the person that sold you your new account. Maybe they'd be able to assist you as I don't really believe moderators and such would attempt assisting you in this case. They don't advise the act of selling or buying accounts.

What did the message say before you reset via security question? You sure the seller didn't just take back the account?

If you have nothing to hide, post account name and seller of account here. Otherwise email the address given when trying to login.

Don't buy accounts but if you absolutely must - use escrow next time.

How exactly "it wouldnt work", wrong password error or what? How did you set the "new security question" if you couldn't log in?

Killing yourself for 0.35 BTC is a bit harsh I think. If you had that much to spend on a forum account you'll probably survive this predicament.

the error it gave was  (wrong password)
but i had already logged in and changed the password myself , so it was working at first it wasnt a total scam.
it just wouldnt let me log in when i got home to my pc, thats when i tried to reste using the security question.
i dont want to blast the seller, he said it was my fault , so i asked for a discount on another and he said 0.3 this time lol

i guess it was my fault for trying to use the damn security question ( rip btc and account )

No way the password could have been changed AFTER you logged in and before you tried to login again from your home PC? You changed the email address too, right?

Account might not be gone, just email the link given when trying to login. You could be waiting awhile though, especially if it's a known bought account... not sure how theymos deals with those.

Might wanna keep a eye on the account in the meantime. You'll know if you've been fucked if you see someone logs in.

Again as others have said.... don't buy accounts.  Even though you can you are far better off raising a account and learning along the way.    With buying it could make this impossible unless you staked an address or did a deal with address you can sign with.   If you did not... you would have to ask person you bought from to try to recover.

But lock via security question is well known.  And will be on lower list of admins to fix.... add buying to that and it becomes even less chance I think of getting done.

So end of story... you are probley having to count on person who you paid to recover it via signing with used BTC address.   And it will not be quick.
