I'm not surprised by this at all. People can get any kind of virus developed for a certain amount of money. It has been like this for quite some time. Nowadays you can buy literally anything from the internet/darknet. Money rules everything.

This is just one more reason to do more frequent backups, and build some additional redundancy into the systems. It would have been more credible if the person who did this, could have shown

proof of this. There are a lot of shills and trolls out there, who would make unsubstantiated claims and has no physical evidence to back up there statements. I would not buy this software of the

Darknet, because it could contain a Trojan horse, that might infect your own system... and you end up paying the ransom.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
