Who are the current Core developers?

Hello all,

I am just wondering if there exists a list of the current Core developer team by which I mean maintainers and leads, i.e. not all contributors. I cannot seem to find a place where those who can merge push requests are directly listed.

Information on previous maintainers would be welcome. (Also information on anyone who made a significant one-off contribution and left). It is for an academic article.
