How does fees affect confirmation nr. 2,3,4 etc.?

I know higher fees means more prioritized confirmation time, but how does it work when you need let say 6 confirmations. Will nr. 2-6 also be of higher priority or is the transaction automatically re-confirmed in every consecutive block in the chain regardless of the fee?

No. The fee only matters for the first confirmation. Confirmations after that are simply the count of blocks that have been built on top of the block that your transaction was included in. You have no control over how quickly you receive additional confirmations as that is all part of the Bitcoin mining process.
