Hi,

I had some issues with my Blockchain wallet and decided to do a private key import into my other Mt Gox wallet.

The import was successful and from what I can tell from the transactions in my Blockchain account, Mt Gox appears to be sweeping funds.

This started at about 10:00am this morning (five hours ago) and I still have a large number of unconfirmed transactions.

Does anyone know how long it generally takes for BTC to appear in your wallet when Mt Gox is sweeping funds?

Thanks

You should be able to monitor the "sweep" transaction through Blockchain.info.

If the transaction has six confirmations, then the BTCs should be added to your Mt. Gox account.   If the transaction isn't confirming, then it has nothing to do with Mt. Gox and everything to do with it not having fees paid, or it coming from a transaction which also is waiting on confirmations, etc.

If it is a "spam-like" transaction (e.g., low amount, was paid out recently, like within the past day, etc.) it can be a day or longer before a miner includes it in a block.

Hi

The transactions showing in blockchain are unconfirmed.

There seems to be two types of transactions not confirming:

1) Sweeping of funds from the private key import.
2) Transfers I made from wallet to wallet.

Besides having a 'normal fee policy - recommended' selected in my Blockchain account I havent paid any addiitional fees on these transactions.

Whats the next step from here?

Well, bitcoin transactions are non-repudiable.  You cannot cancel, and you cannot reverse.  So you wait.

If they are not confirming simply because of no-fee, that problem should resolve itself in a matter of hours.   If they are "spam-like" it could take a day, or maybe a tiny bit longer.

If they are not confirming because they have been double spent (and blockchain.info will detect this and warn you of this having occurred), then you have a different problem with resolution that will vary based on which client you are using.

It has been a while since your initial report.  Does the transaction(s) still show as being unconfirmed?

Looking at the address provided in the previous thread - http://blockchain.info/address/1mCs4bfGXxyU7UbZgx1N2eEGpErFMNTwk it seems that all of the transactions have confirmed now.

The problem stems from the fact you have received many hundreds of small transactions. This causes subsequent transactions that spend them to incur high fees and often confirm slowly.
