As I moved into my new place, I pondered the above. Will we ever see the day? When?

It's not that big, really, when converted to a metric measurement. About the size of three football fields.

It's not that big, really, when converted to a metric measurement. About the size of three football fields. Yeah but, I think the largest house I've ever heard of was 140,000 sq ft. I don't think I've ever heard of one 200,000 before.

Well, there are houses bigger than some corporations. And there are some singular people richer than large corporations. I would be surprised if there wasn't at least a couple 200,000 sq ft houses in the world! Although Gate's house is about 66k and Dell's house is about 33k. Buffet's is at a measely 6k.

Honestly, I'd rather have a smaller house than a larger one. I think Buffet has the right idea @ 6k. Less cleaning and maintenance annoyances that way.

I'm living in what's got to be 900 sq ft 2br2ba and I love it. Concrete floors too, so indoor allergens aren't a worry and airing the inside of my house is easy! But then again, people who have lots of money probably don't even take care of their homes themselves, they hire other people to do it for them of course

You can already buy a whole city block for that....in Detroit. I think you have to be a bit more specific. I think you will be able to buy a nice house somewhere for that, the better question is will any of us live long enough to see the day?

Damn, that is a pretty. Even the Breakers are only 65k. Attempting to stay on topic, the average price of a 2,000 sq ft house (in the U.S., at least) is what, $150k-$250k*? So, the price of a btc would have to be $30k-$50k. Short of an abandonment of bitcoin, it's inevitable, but as for timeframe...I don't know that it could happen in our lifetime. As far as property being bought and sold with btc in general...that will be a happy day.
