Hello.
After selling my gpu's some time ago Im thinking to come back to minning
Before ive been minning with enermax 1500w and 4x r9 290 (reference, big temperatures, 1400-1500w on the wall)

so i have this PSU left
http://www.enermax.com/home.php?fn=eng/product_a1_1_1&lv0=1&lv1=52&no=191

Im thinking to buy new gpu's,

What do you think which gpu's i should be looking for to fit this PSU ?
Best would be new ones with warranty, with lowest watt/khash
Also should I aim for 4gb ? 8gb ? just in case i would like to keep the rig this time, maybe for some future minning.
Need your opinnions
Thank you in advance
Regards

280x or 7970 are affected by the DAG size quite a lot.

Do you notice the hash rate drop of the R9 390 or the R9 Fury series due to DAG increase?

That is not correct.
My 7970s and 280Xs are doing the same hash now as they did in January.
380X are not as good as the 280X.
If given a choice, go for the 280X.

They are not. Latest Genoil's miner (1.0.6) has an option to test it yourself. Copy/ paste from cryptominingblog:

GeForce GTX 970:
Block 1 – 17.31 MHS
Block 1M – 17.31 MHS

Radeon R9 280X:
Block 1 – 25.95 MHS
Block 1M – 21.49 MHS

a bit expensive, you can find it for 150 used, dag file syze it's onyl a problem with ethereum and its clone, other good coin are decred and spreadcoin, last answer, is profit should be around minimum of 0.005-0.01 per card

Hello.
the cheapest used r9 280x without warranty cost min 190$
I can buy new r9 380x with 3 year warranty for 290$

Im not thinking about eth ROI here, but i would like to mine it aswell
In case mining wont give me profit this year i would like to keep that rig and just wait for better days,

What do you think best option will be?
buy used without producent warranty 280x 190$
or new 3year warranty 380x 290$
for a rig which I will keep and wont sell ?

The 280x is faster than the 380x at the moment. But when the DAG file becomes bigger, the 280x will be slower.

don't buy old cards, they will depreciate in performance very easy especially with the dag file getting bigger, buy new card, if you like amd, buy the fury series, or wait for the next nvidia pascal, 1080 and 1070, they are coming this july

The problem is that the Ethereum mining might not be profitable in July. The difficulty is rising fast.
