To dump 3.6 million coins at once would be stupid and I think we can all agree that the DAO attacker/s is/are smart. The dump would cost them millions of $ in lost potential profits.

you call bug abusing smart , and then you want us to take advice from you seriously?!

You are kidding, right?

1. I have nothing to do with ETC or ETH (I hold 0 of both).
2. There are people interested in ETC and that is why I posted this thread - to keep them informed in case they missed it.
3. I'm not saying that the attacker/s is/are smart because what they did. I'm saying that they are probably smart, because there are not many people who can pull this out.
4. I'm not advising anyone!

I will never ever intentionally try to mislead someone, because I'm not such type of guy.

Your post was fine. It was clear you weren't advising anyone. Thank you for your posts

I would like to see ETC staying PoW and let ETH go PoS... I think PoS will be a disaster like all other PoS coins ever, long term something always goes south.

I think the ETH will not convert to PoS in the next few years. It has supported a big industry and the hard forked was supported by miners.

The next few years? The Ethereum development team has already said that they will switch to Casper in 9 months. So expect another fork. Some speculators even say we may even have 3 or 4 Ethereums next year due to more forks thanks to Vitalik. Cheesy

That could be right. So there will another pure PoW Ethereum. So maybe it is safer to stay in the PoW Ethereum.

Maybe. But that would only mean that Vitalik does not have full support from the community now. The POW Ethereum will be not in the control of Vitalik and the Ethereum foundation.

I heard that the Ethereum PoW is much safer. The number of Ethereums owned by the big holders are too high from the ICO. We need to use the PoW to reduce their proportion.

The Ethereum ETH should declare that the PoW will last for several more years, so that more people will support it.

They should. It is the only way to try to maintain the status quo. Miners know that they will have to support the next best coin to mine. That is ETC. I have said this before, always observe the hash rate of ETC. If you see a large increase and it stays there the price will surely follow. Mark my words.

If there are longer PoW periods, there will be more Etheruem to be mined, so the proportion of the premined coins will be reduced.

The thing that can make Ethereum Classic stand out is staying PoW. Ethereum Fork can't stay PoW, they are already committed to hard forking again to go PoS. This is predicted to be a disaster by a lot of people because of what you said. It will be a centralized mess of whales deciding what's up without other forces to create a valance with just like what happens with PoW.

So there will be three Ethereum next year. The Ethereum Classic, The Ethereum PoS and the Ethrereum PoW. There will be more in the future.

The Etheruem is a good platform to do forks. So people will love it and develop based on the Etheruem platform.
