You are basically NOT mining at the moment, and have wasted 2 hours.  Tongue

The problem:
It can't connect to bitcoind running on your local computer. If this isn't what you want, you need to configure Diablo Miner to mine in a pool, or start bitcoind.

what does below mean then if it didnt connect to bitcoind?

mhash: 1.4/1.0 | accept: 0 | reject: 0 | hw error: 0

I am trying to do solo mining.

Just restarted Diablo Miner and see this
[4/8/13 3:35:42 AM] Started
[4/8/13 3:35:42 AM] Connecting to: http://localhost:8332/
[4/8/13 3:35:43 AM] Using Apple OpenCL 1.2 (Dec  4 2012 18:26:30)
[4/8/13 3:35:45 AM] Added GeForce GT 330M (#1) (6 CU, local work size of 256)
mhash: 1.5/1.4 | accept: 0 | reject: 0 | hw error: 0
mhash: 1.4/1.4 | accept: 0 | reject: 0 | hw error: 0
mhash: 1.4/1.4 | accept: 0 | reject: 0 | hw error: 0
mhash: 1.3/1.4 | accept: 0 | reject: 0 | hw error: 0

netstat -a | grep 8332
tcp4       0      0  localhost.8332         localhost.64949        ESTABLISHED
tcp4       0      0  localhost.64949        localhost.8332         ESTABLISHED
tcp4       0      0  localhost.8332         *.*                    LISTEN
tcp6       0      0  localhost.8332         *.*                    LISTEN

which means miner is connected to bitcoin server and the accept is 0 since last 2 minutes Smiley

what does accept mean here and how long does it take usually on a consumer grade laptop (macbook pro)

With 1.5 Mh/s you will only pay for electricity and new macbook.

This is the probability of finding the block (accept in solo) at the current difficulty
