It's been nearly two years since we started Arnhem Bitcoin City and we are going to celebrate it with a conference. It will be the biggest bitcoin event that we have ever organized in Arnhem. If you ever thought about visiting Arnhem (the Netherlands) - this will be the moment to do so!

It will be a conference followed by a giant meetup and a party. For the conference we are still contacting speakers but we've already got confirmations from Riccardo Spagni (Monero), Peter Todd and Manfred Karrer (BitSquare, decentralized exchange). And we have more pending which we hope to announce soon.

When the conference ends at about 18:00, the meetup starts. We'll make use of the many restaurants and bars that accept bitcoin in Arnhem. The meetup will contain a bitcoin related game-element. For visitors spending the night in Arnhem (there are several hotels and bed & breakfasts in town accepting bitcoin), the following day there will be a brunch+city tour.

Schedule (subject to change)

Saturday May 28th:

    Conference (13:00 - 18:00)
    Dinner (18:00 - 20:00)
    Evening program/party (20:00 - 02:00)

Sunday May 29th:

    Brunch (11:00)
    City Tour (12:00-15:00)

It would be great to meet you all in Arnhem. Have a look at our website for more information. www.arnhembitcoinstad.nl

A short update on the "Bitcoin In Use" conference in Arnhem on May 28th - we're happy to announce two more speakers:

  • Rick Falkvinge - founder of the Pirate Party, inspiring speaker, and well known long time Bitcoin enthusiast
  • Jörg Platzer - co-founder of the Crypto Economics Consulting Group and initiator of Berlin's Bitcoin district

Tickets still available, please see the event page for further details.

We hope to see you all in Arnhem. With over 100 local businesses accepting Bitcoin including restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets, clothing stores, hotels, and pretty much anything you can think of, we guarantee you'll have a great time in Arnhem, and you'll be amazed to see just how far Bitcoin adoption has come already!
