broadcasting transactions

HI everyone

Has anybody succeeded in broadcasting a bitcoin transaction, from a script. instead of using the Armory bitcoin GUI, you know clicking the offline transaction button?
If yes, how did you do it, if you do not mind sharing?
It is a bit tedious sometimes having to use gui all the time, especially if you do everything on the terminal.
