It's clear, he has no idea what Bitcoin is .... and if you are not educated on the subject, the natural response would be to avoid it. He is not totally dismissing the idea, because he has some research

that needs to be done, before he can make a final decision.  A year from now, when Bitcoin goes mainstream {OK, 2 years} people like him with turn around and tell people to invest in Bitcoin. They

need to grasp the whole concept, before they can make any judgement.
