Okay, so I've been trying to log into the Silk Road marketplace for over two weeks now, but every single time it's been "Login failed, please try again" and "New registrations are temporarily disabled. Please try again later.". Literally hundreds of times I've tried logging in/reregistering, and I've tried re downloading the Tor browser, using a new Identity and nothing has worked no matter what time of the day I've tried.

That, and, back when I was actually able to log in, when trying to transfer my bitcoins from instawallet to the Silk Road I'd get an "insufficient funds" error every time I tried, even though the coins are clearly displayed right there in my Instawallet and my transfer from Spend Bitcoins has been confirmed to Instawallet. I even tried transferring lower amounts than was in my wallet, same thing.

So I'm really starting to feel like I wasted a whopping $280 on a big, frustrating scam.

So, does anyone have any advice as to what to do, since nothing is working?

Can't help you with the SR login problem, I guess they've stopped new registrations due to demand.

If I were you I'd contact Instawallet support and explain your problem (without mentioning SR)

Guess you're in luck as Instawallet didn't send the coins to SR yet. At worse, you could send the coins to MT.Gox or somewhere else and cash it out again leaving you in the positive due to the price rises lately. Just do what Scott said above. I'm not sure about SR itself though.

Silkroad def is not a scam but you should be careful not to fall for one of the phishing sites similar to it.
Also if you have problems with them you might want to try their support forums they're pretty helpful over there.

I've been using the link to the Silk Road supplied on the Hidden Wiki, so I'm pretty certain it's the legitimate site I'm having problems with.

And the irritating thing is I can neither log in nor re-register, I already have an account that I've been able to log in with in the past, but nothing has been working for a long time now.
