- Bitcoin.com.au partnered with fintech startup Blueshyft, to bring bitcoin to consumers all over Australia. The two Australian startups expressed that roughly 1,200 newsstands in Australia will start selling bitcoin over-the-counter in the coming weeks. Payments can be made with cash starting at AUD50, however, it will be subject to 4% commission.
- Bitwala has launched an initiative to provide a different type of financial service to citizens in Turkey. The company offers free bank transfers and Bitcoin debit cards for a limited time. Bitwala’s initiative is a response to Paypal’s announcement, where the company made public it will no longer offer their services in Turkey.
- Bitcoin.com has announced the launch of BIRDS. The new service is a Bitcoin Twitter application. Tweets with the intention of having as many views as possible can rewards with some bitcoins, those who retweet the post. That way, people get paid to spread messages in exchange of some profits.
