Price increase : Pure manipulation or Halving block ?

Just last the last time , It seems like the price increase happens only  when I'm sleeping    .  I slept and woke up and I found that the price increased like hell once again ...

I seriously want to know what's going on , do you actually believe that this is caused by the halving block reward and the increase in demand ?

As usual, the price increase happens during the day time in Asia- very likely due to China's bitcoiners.

However, I do hope we will see the same during day time in Europe and the US.

haha it is just because of our time difference with those countries that are really trading bitcoin in large amounts during the day. we have to stay up all night if we want to watch the magic happen

but to answer your question I think what is effecting the price is a composite thing. it is a combination of the hype, pump, manipulation, and also adoption, increasing demand and a lot of other things like that which is pushing the price up.
and the rise itself is also causing more rise because as people see the rise, they start buying in order not to miss out so it makes a lot more demand.

Well, maybe some people give the statement if cause bitcoin price increase is manipulation. You can see on the previous topic of bitcoin discussion. but I don't know about the truth of this information.

The price increase has been helped by the halving but has been largely driven by safe haven store of value considerations as the whole world led by China has gone to shit. This trade has legs and will go on.

Yes because of this Halving only Bitcoin is increasing like this. Off course even i too checking Bitcoin price daily like you only once  i woke first i will check Bitcoin price and it will increase like hell. But we don't know when this will collapse last time also it reached 1500$ and suddenly it went down 200$ so if it repeats means people will stop to using Bitcoin i think. i wish it will not repeat again.

Its not easy to manipulate with price I think, so there is high chance that this rise is cause block halving is close. For sure there is other factors, but this is main. People are talking about it a lot around the forum, and I see many people wish to make big profit. So demand is higher, people are working with btc more and more, so for me this is not a surprise at all. We can expect even higher price in next few weeks, things will be different when btc hit 1000 $.

I agree with you, in short term trade you wont get nice profit, even you will loss. I was too panic when its price just bit decreased, so I sold my btc. But in the next day its price increasing much higher Very regret

honestly i do not know what market wants and i guess could be both but i'm afraid this is Pure manipulation and after halving we will see big dump for bitcoin but i wish this is would not be happen because it could be terrible things if bitcoin back again to $300

So if you think that would happen, then you should know what you will do for that. If you thinking it will dump, then you could sell all of your btc.

You are already seeing it on US exchanges, so it's not just China. We all knew that the Halving will push up the price and when it happens, we want to question it.  The Halving will gain momentum

for the next two weeks and then I predict a sudden decrease in the price, because most speculators will start selling. This must not be seen as a dump, but just speculators selling for profits. If you

panic sell, you might just loose out on the big score coming in the future.

the answer is that its a mixture of everything.
pools want the price to rise to offset losses after the halving.
other chinese investors see a small rise kicked off by pools and start to panic buy thinking they are the lucky few getting in first before doubling.
western exchanges see the price move on chinese exchanges and sheep follow the price up

chinese investors see the western prices move up so get confident and keep on speculating the price even higher.

it does not take a pool to be the 100% buying power for 90% of the cause of the price rise.
just a 10% pool buying kick up. can cause a 90% of speculation

I think recent bullish trend is caused by lucky combination of global events. We had Federal Open Market Committee, which is branch of the Federal Reserve System published their report,
they refrained from boosting interest rates and they published their predicted growth forecast for 2016 and 2017 - which looks worse than people imagined.

Also brexit and as usual Chinese speculators are to blame for price spike.

chinas economy dying. their investors are runing from yuen(and buying bitcoin) and they generally do their job when we are sleeping so... now i'm working at night and sleeping during the day
