Man like I don't need this aggravation!

Went to pay my hosting service like I've done many times before and now Electrum pops up a message saying "Certificate has expired".

I get nothing else. I have no idea if it's Electrum's certificate or the full node it's trying to connect with. I changed the connect option from "automatic" to a specific server and I get the same error.

I did a google search with keywords electrum and certificate and found very little. One link was a guy saying he felt Electrum uses SSL rather insecurely.

What is going on, and how can I access my balance so I can make some payments?

I just installed version 2.6.4 and it produces the same error.

Thanks!

I found the part in the code where this message is output: https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/blob/bbe7b277d2e8815977e399d2dad25e535c09b13d/lib/interface.py#L188 and https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/blob/8c42c6d39f26b5b680be5f6b7c1c8ac4a1075609/lib/x509.py#L288
