I am looking for a coin that can be mined with another coin have the same spec as Bitcoin but the following difference: no coins pre-mined and fewer coins issued then Bitcoins. The idea is that all coins should be mined within a few years and less coins will exist then Bitcoins and those will have been produced before all Bitcoins have been produced. Do we have such a coin already?

Purpose: I want to know what happens with a coin when no more coins are produced when solving blocks.

CoiledCoin is only issuing ten coins per block, i0coin only issues twelve per block, both can be merged-mined.

I think pretty much all the coins though will take years to stop issuing, except for the fully-premined coins that ended up moving away from the blockchain form of implementation due to lack of miners to secure them.

Freicoin has a campaign of 3 years for mining (20%) and initial distribution (80%) of new coins. Then for perpetuity a recycling of 5% each year by demurrage: freico.in
