Hi

I wonder if anyone might know how to sort this:

I've got an asrock h81 pro btc, with 4 cards, 2x7950 and 2x7970, running windows 7 ultimate.

I install various AMD drivers (currently have 15.12)
and the SDK.

The Cards are all recognised in device manager , display adaptors, and aren't throwing any errors there.

Trouble is when it comes to trying to mine (using nicehashminer, genoils ethminer, claymores dual miner), none of the cards are recognised.

What am i doing wrong?

Any more beating my head against a wall is going to give me a concussion!

Thanks in advance for time spend on this.

setup the bat properly

in genoil I use this plus usual options at the end to boost speed.

ethminer.exe -G -S us2.ethermine.org:4444 -O ethaddress.rigname --farm-recheck 500 --opencl-platform 0 --cl-global-work 16384  --cl-local-work 256

if that doesn't work, reinstall drivers.  There just isnt much to it aside from drivers and the miner bat.

Sorry Tmdz, it's got nothing to do with the bat file.

i think it's driver related, i've tried to install 6 different versions.

to reiterate:
they are being recognised in device manager and are not showing errors there.

they are not being picked up by any of the three different mining programs that i've used. for example nicehash only shows the cpu available...

does anyone have any ideas or thoughts as to what might be causing this? or better yet how to fix it?

i've heard something about the asrock btc motherboards being difficult on autodetect of the cards (not sure where i read that)

Did you try to specify the opencl platform?

On my system I had to do

ethminer -G <usual options> --opencl-platform 1

you can also try

ethminer -G --list-devices --opencl-platform 1

I think by default it uses platform 0

supersonic, that worked!

tried the gen2 first and nothing, but then after i disabled onboard graphics (hadda plug into gpu obviously) and that did the trick.

mining with claymore at the moment... can't get nicehash miner to work yet, but not such a biggie atm.

THANKS!
