Bitcoin is on a wild streak, surging markedly over the weekend.
Right now, the digital currency is sitting at $691 (£487.36) — and earlier this morning, it nearly broke the $700 (£493.70) mark, reaching highs of more than $697 (£491.59).
In the space of a month, bitcoin’s value has jumped by more than 30% — from around $450 (£317.38) in mid-May to the sub-$700 mark it is hovering around today.
This is the highest bitcoin’s price has been in around two years — it last broke the $700 mark back in February 2014, when it was trending downwards following all-time highs of more than $1,100.

I bet you the price will fall back to about $500 after the halving.

We are still few weeks away from the halving and the price impressively skyrocketing, the Chinese effect? The halving?

I bet you the price will fall back to about $500 after the halving.
Maybe for the first week but later it will double and pass $1k, the small mining farms will close, the bigger one will have their rewards decreased by half so...

The price may increase a lot during the first week of halving cause the demand to the bitcoin rises. It may double the price of it. And that's what we are to observe.

You do not have to bet on that, because everyone suspects that will happen... it happened before... Roll Eyes Just keep something in mind.. $500 is still $300 higher than what is was a year ago.  Wink If you

want to bet on something, rather bet on the long term growth of Bitcoin, not the short term spikes and bubbles. We are into this for the long haul, not just a trip into town. The Halving only happens

every four years, and we will see some major price spikes during these periods, due to speculators trying to make a quick profit.  Sad

I wonder what the top of this block halving mania will be in the runup to the block halving day. Will we really get to see the $1000 level again? Chances are definitely there as the price keeps increasing like there is no tomorrow.
