Hello, guys!
Maybe some of you could help me with the explanation of why the-DAO tradings started rising after two-weeks plateau? Even the maximum was renewed: http://coinmarketcap.com/assets/the-dao/. I wonder if it can be connected with the Ether price growth or visa-verca: DAO "activity" caused Ether price growth?
Thanks in advance!

Well, given that DAO runs on Ether we would expect to see correlations, negative or positive. What and how drives volume and trends for these two is beyond me however.

I agree that correlation is quite obvious in this case but it seems to me that this is like chicken or an egg problem Grin
I've googled a lot and 've found only a few facts that could have caused the growth indeed:
1) there is an opinion that as BTC is rocketing, other cryptocurrencies can rocket too
2) Vitalik Buterin has recently made some important Bla-Blas on Ethereum 2.0 and also posted a link in his twitter on googledock where the idea of DTHPool is presented
3) Microsoft has announced its sponsorship and participation in DevCon2 2016
All these facts are likely to explain that first Eth grows, then DAO tr vol grow. But I actually don't believe that DAO growth is explained by Eth growth, I think it has its own logical reason, but didn't manage to find it Sad

Interesting article about a found vulnerability in the DAO and an apparently wide spread problem with various ethereum developers work. You would think it would affect price in the negative direction; but, the opposite happens.

http://www.coindesk.com/leaderless-dao-put-test-following-reported-ethereum-vulnerability/

Edit: Looks like 12 hours later the markets are reacting to this vulnerability.

Indeed. The DAO is finished. Bagholders have a very limited window of opportunity to get out.

As for ETH - They are not responsible for DAO devs not showing due diligence or rushing a launch - however if they do something like a hard fork to mitigate the DAO situation then they will also be finished.

I hope the RISE devs and any future smart contract investors are learning some valuable lessons from all of this.
