Feel free to ask me any questions you have regarding this.  We're not sure if anyone wants these, but if there's some small demand we can setup a few.

That's a really cool idea!  I'm bitcoin broke, but I'd probably buy one if I was planning on an offline wallet.  I love NFC stuff.

Thats a pretty cool idea.  Way to be pursuing new tech in relation to Bitcoin.

Gracias.  I was thinking that it would be cool if the people 3D printing for BTC were doing something that even shapeways and ponoko didn't have their game on about.  I'm not sure what we'll be offering them for in the future but it should be something reasonable.

We're looking into a litecoin STL model as well as accepting litecoin for our services.  It seems like so many people see bitcoin for investment instead of something for real transactions that there's not yet much of a market for real services which accept it.  We're curious if people with litecoins would be more willing to spend them on whatever they wanted 3D printed instead of converting them into bitcoins or hoarding those too.

Update:

The first auction is complete, and so we're continuing to offer these NFC-enabled BTC-themed tokens.     I've posted two more coins on 'buy it now' rather than auction for 0.2 BTC plus shipping.  https://www.bitmit.net/en/item/19711-3d-printed-nfc-enabled-bitcoin-simulacra

The Mifare Classic 1k has a writable area of 716 bytes.  By my estimate this would allow for the simple storage of up to 10 private keys (maybe 11 depending on how you parse them)  If you wanted to store both the private key and the associated public address, you could probably fit about 6 on one tag.

Another fun use:  Remember that block you mined yourself?   Keep the web address for that block at hand, as well as a cold storage private key for the reward coins!  Plenty of room for that in 716 bytes.
