He presents an interesting take. I didn't watch it all, but two early points.

He notes that the DAO *is* dead which is, of course, a pretty epic f-up.

He notes that there are only so many people who could have done this, 500 approx, meaning the hacker is not an outsider. I find this bit more worrying than anything else.

I'm an Ether holder btw so for me it is important this attacker is revealed pretty soon.

what will change after you know who has done this?

i think it is better to know and unterstand what exactly happened. or is this already clear? did the hacker tell the world why this was possible? the "hole" in the code?

What a great interview.  Great story of how insane the last 24 hours were for the developers. He seems to have a pretty good attitude about it and says it will be a good learning curve for all future DAOs.

I love Bitcoin

There was a thread with a post saying some ethereum miners were annoyed about the future switch to POS. There was speculation that had motivated an insider to hack the DAO for revenge. Some of the miners must have been earning giant returns and the threat of losing their source of income would horrify them.

In the original proposal for the Ethereum mining, it will have 18 million PoW new coins every year, but that has been changed.

The idea that only 500 people could have done this seems somewhat absurd. The number would be substantially higher.
