Post your opinions about the changes in the bitcoin price after the halving.

Will the price climb higher or stay around ~$700ish ?

I strongly believe it will even cross 800$ before halving, but after halving there is lots of uncertainty about on which way market will move because market may experience lot of selling force on halving.

I think there will be a rally or pump (whatever you like to name it) that brings the price up to $750-$850 just before the block halving. After that I expect the price to tank to $500-$600 regions.

Its also possible that many miners are holding their bitcoins and waiting to sell them after the block halving.

There is approximately 9 days left for the block halving.

Not much time left before the 12.5 BTC blocks arrive.

I doubt it. As mentioned in another thread, in my opinion, the drivers of the current price rise has left and there are no signs of them coming back at the moment. If they don't come back, btc could go down to $550. That's just a speculative guess, but I do think it will go sub $600. If they do come back, well, btc could go above $700 easy. Smiley

My guess is that the price will remain to move between the $600 and $700 levels for the biggest part of this year as being the "settle" price. We may very well see a very short lasting peak from $800-$1000 when the update/fork to enable larger blocks gets implemented. But this is just pure speculation.
