The litecoin transaction is faster than bitcoin. But that is mainly because not many people are using it.

If you take the time to investigate the facts it's inherently four times faster than Bitcoin no matter how many people are using it. Also, it is currently capable of four times as many transactions per second than Bitcoin. Additionally if you read the recently released roadmap you'll understand that solutions are being worked on to increase the number of transactions per second.

Sorry to tell you guys but litecoin isnt going to be making a comeback anytime soon. While i agree its super fast at transaction speeds there just doesnt seem to be any demand for it. Its literally probably the only well known crypto that ive never bothered investing too much into and unfortunately it looks like i never will Sad. Hopefully lightning network will help with bitcoins transactions.

Litecoin is not sexy, but somehow useable. Do you agree on this?

I totally agree with you that is why they are the second most used crypto currency by merchants and always in contention as one of the top crypto coin not only that they are the most cloned altcoin in the industry ..

Second most used crypto by merchants? Maybe, but what percentage of merchants accept ltc? Has to be extremely close to zero.  I don't see any reason why that will change.

I do like ltc though  Smiley

It's not merchants that decide this, it's money transfer businesses.
Close to 100% that have a BTC wallet also have an LTC wallet.

That's why LTC did $140,000,000 in volume last 30 days...
So it's probably still #2 because all that ETH activity is speculation.

Anyway, look at monthly volume and only 3 coins matter in the real world (BTC, LTC, ETH).

That's trading volume, not merchants.  That's probably almost all speculation.  What business is doing any non-speculative volume in LTC?

The Bitfinex was hacked and lost 120k bitcoins. That could cause a reduce of investors confidence in bitcoin.
