What is the difference between antminer S9 and between antminer S9+

When you follow the latest news from the mining equipment read online on your antminer S9+ as the latest version of the mining machinery

When you attempt to view it more and found very little information about the device, which raises doubts about this device, but after more research and communicate with the relevant companies concluded the following:
The device antminer S9 + does not exist, never out of Oujda and there is no company has already issuing this device curb this moment (this information is obtained from the competent company in antminer devices which bitmain company) Does this mean, however, that this device is a scam ??

When viewed more on this topic and found that Sapphire Company and KNC Edited on antminer normal S9 and put back on the market does this mean that this scam from previous companies ??

We tried to buy the device from one of the sites and we compare antminer S9 device to know the difference between the two devices was the difference is as follows:
Price: For a antminer S9 Price = $ 1,900 and a antminer S9+ = 3800
Electricity consumption: it was antminer S9 device consumes 2x antminer S9+
Maintain the strength of mining: We've got a paper inside the device from the manufacturer ensure the preservation of mining force for 5 years

This makes it already exists a previous specifications but a different name, which is that this name is not the correct name was launched this name by some of the professionals in this field and the reason for that plus a name that contains extra features on the previous device.

Advice from an expert:
When you want to buy any device Mining choosing your electricity consumption by a few Qom and the reason for this difficulty that the mining every day, which means getting all that electricity consumption was less Ka What was your profit higher

Bitmain who make the s9 has NEVER made or announced a "S9+". The last + miner they briefly made was a couple years ago called the S5+. It was in essence 3x s5's ran off of 1 controller board and packaged as 1 device.

At BEST someone has joined together 2x s9's using 1 controller for them rather like folks did with s7's. No matter what it will have no Warranty at all and anything saying 5-years is beyond ridiculous.

Screams SCAM to me but with a twist:
For once the seller is offering a miner that could be a deliverable item with reasonable price (2x the cost of single s9) and since the s7/s9 cases slide together a Siamese pair of s9's could be called something else.  For once, no outrageous claims of speed/power. I highly doubt the seller would deliver but for once this is a miner that could be made and sold by someone. The scammers are getting smarter...

Just no possible chance of a Warranty much less a 5-year one!

To any new people reading this thread.

I will toss in my two cents:  Bitmainwarranty is a legit company in Colorado,USA  that works with bitmaintech from china.

If they say it is a scam it is a scam.

So do not buy a S9+.

There was an S3++ at one time, limited distribution but they were testing the S5 string concept with S3 chips and already had an S3+ model.

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!

I can confirm, a few aliexpress stores had it listed for around 265w power usage and around 100$ price with shipping to the usa. Looked slightly different compared to the normal S3, and I actually wanted to mess around with one for a bit to see how it worked; S5 was released shortly after it was released, hence limited distribution.

Same game plan Bitmain used with the s5+ they did briefly just before releasing the s7 though the s5+ was just more blades (I think was 6) ran off of 1 controller and packaged in a bigger frame.. They also did the s4+ (think just had more chips on boards?) but not sure how that fit with the s5 intro .

I believe the S5+ was three modules of 3 boards but I could be wrong.

S4+ I don't think had anything to do with S5 release. It came about four months after the S5, had a worse efficiency because it still used BM1382, and had a worse $/GH than S5 because Bitmain is greedy. The S4+ has four boards, each with I believe a 3x17 unregulated string for 204 chips total. Stock clock 200MHz, hashrate 2570GH at about 0.6J/GH

Thought is was something like that. Never got one but I do remember the s5 was an impressive looking beast.
Also never got the s4+ because as you said, it came out around the s5 and struck me as Bitmains attempt to use up the older gen chips they had.

edit: Bitmain still has a site for the s5+!!! https://shop.bitmain.com/productDetail.htm?pid=0002015081407532655504JMKzsM067B prolly only for the pic but nice for ref Smiley Of course upon finding that I duly grabbed the pic for my pics archive.

I was consulting for a guy around when the S4+ came out, and I advised him not to buy them because they were overpriced and under-efficient, and I doubted the reliability. So the guy went and bought about 35 of them. Within a month or so half a dozen of them were down for repairs.

ow ow ow ow ow!
Really hard to seem sympathetic and say, "I warned ya!", isn't it....

Ja. bad design there esp since the s4's only real weak point was the PSU. Even then, my only problem with the 3 I had was the infamous dry fan bearing failure on 4 fans. Even that was only after many many months of running.

Ya know, looking at the above pic of the s5+ you can see where Bitmain came up with the 3 boards in a tube extrusion design for the s7 and s9's. And - the idea of making the tubes slide together into 1 unit.  Neat test bed for it.

Yeah well, almost literally every time I offered advice the guy did the exact opposite - which included actually paying for miners he intended to purchase.

I had an S4 here running for a year or so with zero trouble; the only one with issues was one that I was told had issues when it came in. Actually, that might have been yours. Heated my apartment last winter. I was also given an S4+ that didn't work because the owner got tired of jacking with it, but after a complete disassembly and reassembly it worked just fine for me for a year or so. But I've built PSUs for about 20 of them for a data center because the stock ones kept blowing up.

Yep, it was. From time to time it drops a board. Could be a few times in a week or weeks between. Cycle power and happy again.. Of course it usually dropped a board when I was abroad Tongue ... Thass why it was a freebe to ya Cheesy. I still have 2x s4's (why I asked if I could put your boards on their sinks). It really is a nice looking miner.

Yeah, and pretty much the last miner with adjustable core voltage. S4 is easily my favorite rack-case miner.

And since this thread is already seriously de-railed, a closing(?) idea just occurred to me: s2 case, 2x s9's sans fans but instead using upgraded 140mm fans the s2 used... might be quieter... need to look at case depth mayanna and see if needed ducting will also fit...
