Thanks mitchellparker, I think the best you can do is talk with a SEO expert (search engine optimization) or a Developer, I'm a Graphic Designer so I'm more focused on the usability / aesthetic part,
but of course I can give you my opinion!

Something malicious? is just a wordpress theme with images (jpg), you better check your soft before talking...

I wouldn't automatically jump to conclusions here, he might be right.  WP installs which has certain plugins can become compromised/exploited.

Each WP user choose what plugins install, mine only got google analythics.
