By the way, the answer to this question is NO! If you think asking someone is going to yield a usable answer then you should not be "investing" at all.

If you're affraid to lose money, you shouldn't be buy bitcoins.
I only put a small amount of my fortune in bitcoins because i believe that bitcoins has a great future as online money.

On long term the price will rise over 65 US-$, as the US$ has an inflationary trend and BTC is designed as a deflationary currency. But you have the risk, that the idea of bitcoin fails or that it takes really long untill the price rises...

If it was me I'd wait until next week just to see if it comes down a little, if not I'd definetly buy buy the end of next week,

I wouldn't wait for a rare big fall in value, just because we have had a couple recently dosn't mean it will happen again for a while, in any case there are lots of people leaving low buy orders on Mt gox that will eat up any small crash.

My advice is to just buy some. Even just a small amount. Get your feet wet. If you can handle the ups and downs it goes through in a day, go ahead and buy some more. My personal opinion is that the long term value of bitcoin will at least be maintained and more likely will continue to appreciate in relation to centralized national fiat currencies. I'm holding and using bitcoin myself and if I were to sell today I would have made more than any other investment, but will continue to have bitcoin even if the value drops.

Bitcoin will wrap around the Earth like Kudzu. Buy now whilst you still have any purchasing power left in your archaic currencies.
