Transaction sent to Electrum stuck on pending.

I recently transferred 0.29454 mBTC to my Electrum Wallet.  I used the address given me.  The service i used to send the coin states the transaction is complete.  On the Electrum side, under the Receive tab it is stuck on pending and has been for 24 hours.  The addresses match perfectly.  Under history there is no sign of the transaction anywhere.  Where can it be and what can i do?

Can you post the address here?

If not, go check that address using blockchain.info or some other explorer and see if the transaction have been confirmed (or if it exist at all).

Sometimes restarting electrum works (sometimes the transaction was already included in a block, but electrum fails to update the status, in this case restarting it will solve the "problem"). If it doesn't work, we'll need the tx id to see what's happening (open electrum, go to the history tab, right click on the pending transaction, copy id to clipboard, paste the ID in this thread)

Go to Blocktrail.com and search for your address. If everything is confirmed, then its your Electrum has problems. You can try to press the green button on the bottom right and select another server. The server might have problems.

Sometimes electrum lags some blocks from the server. Its good to exit it and restart it again. When restarting it again it will resynchronize and in most case will show the transaction in the history as pending when it has 0 confirmation. If its showing it as pending you can right click on it and choose view on block explorer. It will go to blockchain.info and it will show the transaction there. If its there nothing to worry. If not contact the site which sent you the coins.

P.s: make sure to check if it has the recommended fee when checking the transaction in blockchain.info cause not sending the recommended fee may delay the confirmation a lot and if it has no fee at all then the miners can reject this transaction and the coins will be sent back to the website which sent you them in the first place.
