What's up with waiting for everything in bitcoin??

I've been reading bitcoin forums for about a week, over 30 hours into this, I finally have a question, so I register an account, and LOL, I have to wait some undetermined time before I can post in the forum section I need to... which ironically is about ASIC units taking forever to ship and people waiting for them, not to mention it takes a lot of waiting to mine bitcoins. *sigh*
