I haven't found anyone except the online gambling players. So locally, none. I always have to explain everytime what BTC is. I guess it's just me spreading the news about Bitcoin. Cheesy

Just today, I was on the bus and I was fiddling with my OTG cable to send a transaction on my phone with my Ledger wallet. I looked to my right, and what where the odds? The guy next to me was doing the same! We started talking, and we just kept talking!

What are the odds of you meeting a bitcoiner IRL?

P.s. I was not taking into the window.

Interesting. I think here on my country I got a really low chance, when I am on the bus I always open bitcointalk forum. The guy next to me always dont care. They think I am just reading some garbage.

I don't think it's very likely I will meet someone who actively uses Bitcoin but I think that most people understand what it is and have heard of it before. Most people I think don't have a reason to change, they are happy using normal currency so Bitcoin is of no use to them.

Very True.. However, adoption has been steadily increasing over the years. Like others have stated the majority of the reason for the slow adoption is the ease of use. It is quite difficult to someone without technical experience.

Rather than finding a fellow bitcoiner, now its possible as well much easy to have conversation with people who were aware of bitcoin as well other digital currencies. Recently on an conversation understood the reality that even manufacturing process developers too aware of it but due to some reasons have paused using bitcoin.

I think so too that there are others who are already aware of bitcoin but didn't get involved in bitcoin world because he's simply not interested in it.He doesn't want to get involved in something that his friends may not be aware of and will choose to mind other things that his friends can relate to. Bitcoin is new and maybe he just want to stick with fiat currency because its the one use by everybody and he choose to be with the majority.

I did find someone browsing bitcointalk at the mall and carrying what seems to be a hardware wallet. Since I'm not into talking other people, I didn't approach him and just peeped on what board is he into. It's kinda comforting to know that you're not alone on your place that knows how to use bitcoins.

And I am yet to talk to other bitcoiners around in my place. Hehe.

I would say its impossible to find someone in real life that uses bitcoin, that is not a mega geek like everyone in here is. If you are not into computers and stuff, you probably don't even know what Bitcoin is. With Steam a lot of people has learned but they are still gamers. Hopefully Kim Dotcom is not lying and will deliver something good for mainstream soon.

Totally agree with you, its so hard to find  a fellow bitcoin user in real life since you wont even know  if they uses it  unless if you saw them using a mobile phone  then you notice   hes doing bitcoin stuffs then it would be the time to  communicate to him but for now its impossible to know someone. Im also a Steam user and yes bitcoin is  already used there as a payment option but i guess  majority would probably ignore it  and just stick  to traditional ways on purchasing on store.

Yup, but it depends on the country or the place that we inhabit. My place, I get quite a lot of people use the bitcoin and we always communicate well. This is quite exciting, because we can exchange thoughts and ideas about the bitcoin and it was making a change is good enough

At least a basic computer knowledge and some internet knowledge also. Then the investing thing will just go with it when it is all ready. I ride public vehicles every day and I see no one that uses it or trying to earn bitcoin. I only see it at the office with my fellow workers.

I've constantly been inserting bitcoin in every conversation that I do with some people like when we're talking about games on Steam. I would say that I fund my account with bitcoins and such and then they would start wondering what it is. But so far, I haven't seen anyone who's an active bitcoin user.

In over a year that I am doing bitcoin I have never met a random individual also involve in bitcoin. I am doing faucet before while riding a bus but no one else seems to care what I am doing. It would be nice to meet someone on the road though. And I hope one day, meeting someone involve in bitcoin is not a special event anymore.

That is great thing to know Cheesy  Younger people getting to know bitcoin will means that Bitcoin will have a more wide range of supportor in the next years.  While in my industry, there are lots of people who know about bitcoin because some network marketing company are very active in promoting their scheme.  I just hope it they won't give bad impression for bitcoin.
