Hey everyone,

So I've got this one 6-pin 5850. I'm wondering how many I could actually run on a 950w power supply.

Right now, I've got 4 normal 5850's on a Corsair TX950. They use two 6-pins. So I'm guessing i could fit maybe...6 of the one pin ones?

What about 5770's? Do they use the same power draw if they have the same number of connectors (1 6 pin)? Would this mean that I could use 3 5770s and 3 5850s?

Thanks everyone!

What type is the 5850?

I don't know of any that only have one 6pin connection. That would imply much lower power consumption compared to a typical 5850

4 Should work on that PSU, though I would suggest calculating your total wattage and compare that to the efficiency rating of the PSU, the 950W is not technically the "maximum limit".

950W ? is thats 2.1 ATX or newer, you can use at least 3x 5850's, IMO, unsure about 4x.
5770 is cold, sure and 5750 even lack aux PCI-e power connectors ;P
